Homan Back in Familiar Territory
Ontario's Rachel Homan reaches the WFG Masters semifinals where they will meet Korea's EunjungKim for a spot into the championship game. Homan advanced through the quarterfinals with a 8-4 win over Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni.

The last time Homan missed the semi-final was at the 2023 Hearing Life Tour Challenge where they missed playoffs. Homan also looks to add her third straight Grand Slam title for the third time in her career. Winning three straight in the 2018-2019 season and the 2015-2016 seasons.
They took on Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni in the quarterfinals Saturday afternoon, starting with the hammer due to their better round robin record.
The scoring was delayed to the second end after a blank end. Homan rolled to far on her hit and stick attempt, giving up a steal of one in the second end. Homan saw and opportunity for three points in the third. making a half a rock triple to take an early 3-1 lead.
Struggling to find a deuce, Paetz played a nose hit and stick for their single point in the fourth. Homan found a deuce in the fifth end, drawing to the four foot. Tirinzoni bounce back in the sixth end, drawing to the eight foot for two points.
In the seventh end, Homan ran her stone onto the Tirinzoni stone for three points and handshakes for a 8-4 victory
Homan finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. In their opening game, Homan defeated Korea's Seungyoun Ha 7-4, then won 7-6 against Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes and 6-2 against Manitoba's Kerri Einarson. Homan went on to lose 7-4 against Sweden's Isabella Wrana in their final qualifying round match.
Her loss to Wrana was only her third loss on the season.
In the semi-finals they are set to face Korea's Eunjung Kim tonight at 7:00 pm Eastern TIme (ET). Homan played Kim one other time this season at the Hearing Life Tour Challenge where she defeated Kim 5-3.
The other semi-final consists of an all Sweden battle between Anna Hasselborg and Isabella Wrana. Hasselborg defeated Wrana in the best of seven series for the right to represent Sweden at the European Championships that happened earlier this season.
