Homan With Opportunity to Three-Peat

They took on Korea's Eunjung Kim in semi-final action on Saturday Evening. Kim started with the hammer due to their undefeated round-robin record.
Kim scored two points in the first end with a draw to the paint. Homan could not respond, playing a lightweight hit for her single point.
Kim kept the pressure going, drawing to the eight-foot for another deuce. Homan did Rachel Homan things, making a hit and stick through a port for three to tie the game at 4-4. Homan found her first force of the game in the fifth, forcing Kim to a hit and stick for her single point.
In the sixth end, Homan set up their deuce, playing a hit and roll, moving two of her stones to sit two, ultimately drawing to the four foot for her deuce. In the seventh end, it looked like a three for Kim, but half a rock around a guard double gave Kim a draw to the eight foot for her deuce.
Homan dominated the eighth end, forcing Kim to try and make a perfect freeze, which ended up being heavy and leaving Homan an open hit for four points and a 10-7 victory.
It was a well-played game by the Homan rink, with Rachel curling at 80%, Tracy curling at 91%, Emma curling at 86%, and Sarah curling at 95%.
Homan finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. Homan defeated Korea's Seungyoun Ha 7-4 in their opening game. They then won 7-6 against Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes and 6-2 against Manitoba's Kerri Einarson. Homan lost 7-4 to Sweden's Isabella Wrana in their final qualifying round match. In the quarterfinals, Homan won 8-4 over Silvana Tirinzoni to advance to the semi-finals.
It will be a rematch of the Kioti National final, with Homan facing off against Sweden's Anna Hasselborg at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time (ET). Homan won the final 6-5, and Hasselborg defeated Isabella Wrana in the semi-finals 6-3.
