GRANDE PRAIRIE - Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni (Photo: Stan Fong, Hardline) wins 8-2 over USA's Tabitha Peterson to improve to 2-0 at Grand Slam Tour Challenge. Tirinzoni blanked the opening end, then jumped ahead on the scoreboard with a three-ender. After Peterson got two points back, Tirinzoni scored another three points, then stole two more in the fifth end for the early handshake. Playing out of Aarau, Switzerland, Tirinzoni calls the game and throws third stones while Alina Paetz throws last stones. A new front-end was added this season in Carole Howald, and Briar Huerlimann, and it seems to be working out exceptionally well. The win improves Tirinzoni to 36-4 on the season, an astounding 90% win rate, while Peterson drops to 5-6, having posted a slower schedule to start the season. Tirinzoni will face a significant challenge in Canada's Kerri Einarson in their next game, set to go Thursday at 4 pm MT. A rematch of the Boost National Final that Tirinzoni won 7-3. Peterson will play Canada's Casey Scheidegger on the same draw. Related: Tirinzoni wins RBC Dominion Securities Western Showdown
