East St. Paul's Chelsea Carey (photo: Stan Fong, Hardline) won 6-0 over Shae Bevan in Scotties Winnipeg Regionals to book their place into Scotties Provincials in January.
Bevan, with her team of Kyla Grabovski, Paige Beaudry and Jessica Hancox won 8-6 over Grace Beaudry of Winnipeg in their opening game, setting up an A-Qualifier game with a provincials berth on the line.
Hosted by East St. Paul on January 23-29, with home town team skip Carey and connected to the club through second Liz Fyfe, received a bye direct to the qualifier game based on their CTRS ranking. Third Jolene Campbell, and lead Rachel Erickson round out the lineup.
Bevan opened with hammer, but three steals of two starting in the third end sent Carey to the provincial championship in short order, final after 5 ends.
Winnipeg's Katy Lukowich won 10-8 over Darcy Robertson (Winnipeg) to book the second provincials berth through A-Qualifiers, while Emma Jensen won 10-3 over Lisa Birchard to clinch the third berth.
Two provincials berths remain through B-Qualifier games with Beaudry playing Birchard and Robertson taking on Winnipeg's Tansy Tober, both games going at Noon CT.
