Edin and his reigning World championship squad of Oskar Eriksson, Rasmus Wrana and Christofer Sundgren opened their season at the Baden Masters, where they advanced to the semifinals.
The Oslo Cup is played at Snaroeya Curling Rink in Oslo, Norway, and is the first event in the Nordic Curling Tour season that hosts events across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and Estonia.
Stocker and his Oberwallis, Switzerland team of Kim Schwaller, Felix Eberhard and Tom Winkelhausen from Oberwallis opened with hammer, winning the pre-game draw shot challenge.
The first end went the way of the Swedes, with Edin stealing a point to start the scoring. Stocker scored one point in the second end, followed by Edin's single-point response in the third.
From there, the action got more heated, as Stocker pushed ahead 4-2 by scoring three points in the fourth end, while Edin responded by getting two points back to even the score after 5 ends.
The sixth end was the turning point in the game, with Edin stealing two points, then forcing Stocker to a single in the seventh end to take a 1-point lead and hammer into the final end.
Edin finished off the 6-5 win, eliminating Stocker's final scoring rock for the win.
Edin opened with a 4-3 win over Sixten Totzek of Fuessen, Germany and won 5-4 against Canada's Jordan Chandler, representing Little Current on Manitoulin Island.
Eight teams advance from the 19-team field into the playoff round, with Stocker joining Edin on Sunday after completing pool play with 2 wins and 1 loss.
Before their loss to Edin, Stocker won 7-3 over Chandler and 10-5 against Totzek.
