Shuster Opens Season in Oslo
In their season-opening event, Duluth's John Shuster (Photo: Bob Weder, USA Curling) finishes round-robin at 2-2, falling just short of the playoff round.
Shuster and his team of Christopher Plys, Colin Hufman and Matt Hamilton finished round-robin action early, with their bye coming during the last round of action in their Pool of 5. Having dropped a 6-3 decision to Fredrik Nyman of Solleftea, Sweden and a 7-5 decision to Marc Muskatewitz of Fuessen, Germany, Shuster lost to the two teams sitting ahead of them. Should Nyman lose their last round-robin game, the head-to-head result would advance the Swedish side. Shuster won 8-2 over Kjetil Bjoerke of Byddoey, Norway and won 8-1 over Jan Iseli of Solothurn, Switzerland. Shuster hits the ice on September 11th at the AMJ Campbell Shorty Jenkins Classic, playing Montreal's Felix Asselin in the opening draw.We dropped a 7-5 game to Team Muskatewitz this afternoon and finished 2-2 at the Oslo Cup short of a playoff spot. https://t.co/xn2RtaeA4X#curling #TeamShuster
