Hasselborg into Oslo Cup Semis

Hasselborg opens the season ranked sixth overall on the World Curling Team Rankings, one spot ahead of countrymate Isabella Wrana.
Hasselborg, with Sara McManus at third, Agnes Knochenhauer at second and Sofia Mabergs at lead returned to the ice for their first event of the season at the Oslo Cup hosted by the Snaroya Curling Rink in Norway.
Hasselborg finished off round-robin play on Saturday afternoon against Norway's Marianne Roervik, taking a 5-3 decision.
Hasselborg opened the scoring with two in the second end, then forced Roervik to a single point in the second end.
Roervik, with Kristin Skaslien throwing fourth stones and Mille Nordbye and Martine Roenning on the front end, evened the score at two after stealing a single point in the fourth end.
Hasselborg scored a single point in the fifth end, then stole the sixth end to extend their lead to two points, holding on for the 5-3 win.
Hasselborg opened with a 10-3 win over Virginia Paulauskaite of Lithuania in their opening game, then won 5-3 against Switzerland's Corrie Huerlimann.
Hasselborg added an 8-5 win over Anna Kubeskova of Czechia and 6-1 over the young Moa Dryburgh, the next line behind Hasselborg and Wrana in Sweden.
Roervik, ranking #21 on the world rankings, were also playing their first event of the season, having come into the match against Hasselborg undefeated.
Roervik won 7-6 over Kubeskova, then 8-3 against Dryburgh and 9-0 over Huerlimann. Roervik won 9-3 against Paulauskaite to set up the battle with the Swedes.
Roervik advanced to the quarterfinals due to their 4-1 record, dropping their playoff match on Saturday evening to Denmark's Madeleine Dupont.
Turkiye's Dilsat Yildiz won 5-4 over Dryburgh in the other quarterfinal matchup to set the final four.
Hasselborg faces Dupont while Switzerland's Xenia Schwaller takes on Yildiz in Sunday's semifinals, held at 12:30 pm Central European Time (CET) (6:30 am ET)
