Icebreaker: Cameron wins Twice on Saturday
Kate Cameron (St. Adolphe, Manitoba) is back for a third game on Saturday playing for direct berth into semifinals.
Cameron, with Taylor McDonald at third, Brianna Cullen at second and Mackenzie Elias at lead, opened their season this weekend at the Icebreaker hosted by the Morris Curling Club in Morris, Manitoba.
After losing their opening game Friday, 8-4, to Rachel Workin of Fargo, North Dakota, Cameron set to focus on their three-game day on Saturday.
Cameron won 9-3 over Allie Giroux of Chaska, Minnesota, and followed up with a 7-2 win over Shaela Hayward of Carman, Manitoba, in the afternoon draw to improve to 2 wins and one loss.
Cameron faces Kristy Watling of Winnipeg on Saturday's final round-robin draw at 9 pm Central Time (CT).
With Watling coming into the game undefeated at 3-0, the teams will be battling for one of two byes directly into Sunday's semifinals.
