Dunstone slides in Semi Final in Red Deer

Matt Dunstone shows no signs of struggle without third BJ Neufeld.
This weekend Colton Lott stepped up to third with Ryan Harnden staying at lead at and super spare EJ Harnden coming in at second.
Dunstone started the game with the hammer due to them qualifying in the B-event over Danny Casper's (Chaska, MN) C-event qualification.
The game was a tight battle from the start with scoring scarce with the first point of the game going to Dunstone in the second end. Casper responded in the second end by getting a single of his own to tie the game.
The third end was a blank, with Dunstone continuing the hold the hammer and control of the game. In the fourth end, Dunstone capitalized on the hammer opportunity, scoring the first deuce to take a two-point lead.
After another blank end, Casper was forced to settle for a single point in the sixth end, leaving Dunstone control with a one point lead and the hammer.
In the seventh end, Dunstone brought the game its third blank of the game, then scoring one more in the eighth end making the final score 4-2.
Dunstone will face Korey Dropkin (Duluth, MN) in the semi final for the first time this season. The game will take place at 12:30pm Mountain Time (MT).
Dunstone finished 4-1 in the 28-team triple knockout qualifying round. In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB) 10-4, then won 8-5 against Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC) to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 5-3 against Saskatoon's Rylan Kleiter. Dunstone responded with a 7-4 win over Charley Thomas (Saskatoon, SK) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they won 8-3 against Epping to advance to the playoff round.
The other semi final will consist of Winnipeg's Jordan McDonald and Sudbury's John Epping.
The action will continue throughout the day with the final happening at 3:30 pm MT.
