Dunstone delivers victory in Red Deer
Winnipeg's Matt Dunstone dominates the Red Deer Curling Classic final over Sudbury's John Epping.

The #8 world-ranked Matt Dunstone(Winnipeg), with BJ Neufeld at third, Colton Lott and Ryan Harnden at lead had a different look on the weekend due to Neufeld not being able to make it.
Dunstone added three-time brier champion EJ Harnden to fill in at second for them this week, slotting Colton Lott into the third position.
They took on John Epping(Sudbury) on Monday evening, Dunstone started with the hammer due to qualifying in the B-event.
This game was all Dunstone as they started off adding two points in the first end. Adding a steal in the second and another steal of two in the third.
Epping conceded after the fourth end when Dunstone stole another point to win the final 6-0.
Dunstone is back as the reigning champion for this event after winning back in 2022 and winning their second event of the season. Their first one was in the Henderson Metal Fall Classic back in October.
In the semifinals, Dunstone defeated Dropkin 7-4, also winning his quarterfinal versus Daniel Casper (Chaska, MN) 4-2.
Dunstone finished 4-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. In their opening game, Dunstone defeated Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB) 10-4, then won 8-5 against Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC) to advance to an A-Qualifier game where they lost 5-3 against Rylan Kleiter(Saskatoon, SK). Dunstone responded with a 7-4 win over Charley Thomas (Saskatoon, SK) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they won 8-3 against Epping to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
Dunstone's next event will be in St. Johns, Newfoundland in the Grand Slam of Curling Kioti National from November 26- December 1.
