Team Mooibroek debuts new lineup at KW Fall Classic

Team Mooibroek opens its season on home ice this weekend at the Hogged Rock KW Fall Classic at the KW Granite Club, the first look at a rebuilt Ontario rink. Sam Mooibroek and longtime second Scott Mitchell are joined by Owen Purcell, the 2025 Nova Scotia champion skip who moves to third, and lead Gavin Lydiate, who served as the team's alternate at the 2025 Brier. Purcell and Mooibroek met at that Brier as opposing skips, with Purcell taking the round-robin finale to clinch a playoff spot, and now team up for a new Olympic cycle.
