US mixed doubles playdown begins in Eau Claire for world berth

A United States playdown to choose the country's representatives at the World Mixed Doubles Championship begins Wednesday afternoon at the Eau Claire Curling Club in Wisconsin, with the first draw scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT.

The playdown was arranged after World Curling moved the World Mixed Doubles Championship up to January. The US representatives will be determined through the event.
