Hometown Celebration: Brad Jacobs Meet and Greet at YNCU Curling Centre
Sault Ste. Marie holds a hometown celebration for Sault native and Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist in Men's Curling, Brad Jacobs. City Council unanimously agreed to formally rename a portion of Anita Boulevard, directly in front of the curling centre to 'Team Jacobs Way' so that the YNCU Curling Centre's new address would effectively be '1 Team Jacobs Way'. Former Team Jacobs coach Tom Coulterman was also recognized and thanked with an award during the celebration. A street sign unveiling event will follow.

Scotland wins over Canada at LGT Worlds
Canada's Matt Dunstone suffered his first loss at the world men's curling championship with an 8-3 defeat to Scotland's Ross Whyte in Saturday afternoon's draw. Scotland (1-2) took an early lead with a deuce in the first end followed by steals of one in the second and third. Dunstone got two back in the fourth, but Whyte took a commanding 7-2 lead with three in the fifth. Dunstone's Winnipeg team, representing Canada for the first time at the world championship, opened the tournament with wins over South Korea and Italy on Friday. Canada (2-1) will next face the United States on Sunday.
